I was born in the Bay Area of California. I left that area when I was six and have lived in many places around the country including upstate New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia. In addition, I have traveled to such varied locations as Niagara Falls, the four-corners area of the Southwest, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. Being able to live in and visit so many places has allowed me to bring a wealth of experiences to my classroom.
I am married to a wonderful United Methodist minister. We have one son, who is married, and a BEAUTIFUL granddaughter.
I enjoy reading, exploring, speaking Spanish, cooking, bird watching, and, of course, teaching the terrific students of Norris Middle School!
